The RC Dinghies and the Committee have recognised that the personal handicap system previously used at PSC has developed a number of anomolies. In 2010, it therefore decided to revert to the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick (now 2011 edition) system (or class association figures where there is no RYA number). The 2010 results provided gave close racing, and relative results were encouraging. An adjustment will be made for those under 16 for the duration of a series, and to those new to racing for their first season (+20 for either or both). Slower boats will generally be required to sail a reduced number of laps, this helps ensure that the entire fleet is competing in similar tide and wind conditions.
